After
earning several certifications, I decided to return to college in 2000 and get a “real” degree.
This journey topped out at 10 years between two states. I was nervous about going back to school
because I didn’t think I was “smart enough” – I knew they would be on to my ruse. I
worked very hard and those years were indescribable.
Working
all day and going to school at night ... pain and torture
Missing fun events with
family and friends ... loneliness
Joy of learning and discovery ... priceless.
I am proud to say that I graduated
cum laude in December 2007 from Metropolitan State College of Denver.
Major: Speech Communication with an organizational emphasis.
